Fees and Coverage
We believe that working together with the client, the
family, and their support system maximizes individual
development and learning potential. Enclosed is a profile
of our fee schedule.
All of our services are provided on a fee for service
basis. Our fee schedule is based on the recommended
fee guidelines provided by the Alberta Speech-Language
Association of Private Practitioners (ASAPP). Please

our current fee schedule.
Payment Policy - Payment by cheque or cash is due at
the time of the session.
NSF Policy - An administration fee of $15 will be levied
for all NSF cheques.
Cancellation Policy - A cancellation fee of $65.00 will
apply if appointments are not cancelled at least 24
hours in advance. The exception to this policy is cancellation
due to illness.
Currently, Alberta Healthcare does not provide coverage
for private Speech-Language Pathology services. Many
group insurance plans cover at least a portion of the
cost for private services. Please check with your insurance
company for details regarding your particular situation.
Your insurance company may request proof that the Speech-Language
Pathologist working with you and your family is registered
with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists
and Audiologists (ACSLPA). All the staff at Therapy
Connection are registered and certified professionals
and would gladly provide needed documentation on request.
Fees paid for private Speech-Language Pathology services
are typically considered to be a tax deductible medical
expense by the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency. Please
contact the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency and/or
your accountant for more information.
